Summary:

You will be a key contributor to create the best cloud-based digital experience (DX) solution focusing on AI and providing an amazing end-to-end experience. As a part of Conversational AI team, you will help us builds Genesys core AI capabilities including Speech Understanding, Natural Language Understanding and processing, chatbots, voicebots, knowledge surfacing etc., to power the next generation of Genesys products.

About Role:

We are looking for problem solvers to help us building next-generation platforms, products, and services. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers on microservices and event-driven architectures. You are expected to contribute to the architecture, design and development of new features, identify technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. In addition, the role also demands to lead, motivate, mentor and provide ample guidance to the other team members with respect to technical challenges.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Design, architect, and build performant, reliable, high-quality systems at scale.
• Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with the Architects, Product Managers and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions.
• Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products.
• Bringing features all the way through the Design, Beta, Generally Available, Maintain cycle.
• Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-10 years Industry experience with product development.
• Proficient full stack developer willing to work on tech stack that primarily uses Python, Java, JavaScript and modern UI frameworks like Angular and Ember.
• Experience with serverless architecture, distributed systems, microservices and event-driven programming.
• Experience in working with AWS services e.g., EC2, LAMBDA, SQS, S3, RDS, Load balancer, Cloud formation, VPC, R53 etc.
• Experience in designing and integrating REST and/or gRPC APIs.
• Good at high-level and low-level designing.
• Comfortable developing and deploying in Linux (Ubuntu), cloud-hosting (AWS/Azure) and Docker.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) data modelling and their trade-offs.
• Understanding of caching and search techniques and familiarity with systems like Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Ability to quickly diagnose, analyse, and interpret data and issues using software analytics services such as New Relic and SumoLogic.
• Have experience and interested in analysing and solving performance issues at scale
• Enjoy being part of fast paced environment, where key features have to delivered quickly with quality.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with modern web application/microservices framework like spring boot, flask.
• Exposure to development of AI/ML as a SaaS in cloud and managing infrastructure.
• Interested in tinkering with AI and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Eager to learn new algorithms, new application areas and new tools.
• Eager to keep abreast with new trends in CX and use of AI for automation.
